This university which was established as a tribute to Sati Sadhini, the last queen of the Chutia dynasty is a belief envisioned for creating better human beings, with roots embedded in strong academics and value-based education.

Birangana Sati Sadhini Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya is established by the Assam Act No. XVIII of 2020, in the name of great Chutia Queen Birangana Sati Sadhini at Golaghat. People of this beautiful part of our state which is mostly dotted with exquisitely beautiful lush green tea gardens and valuable Agar trees have been demanding for a university and with the establishment of this, a long-cherished dream of the people has come to reality.

With setting up of this university, our primary goal of meeting the aspirations of higher education of our students in this region is fulfilled to the best of our abilities. In Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya we sincerely believe that a university should strive to make positive impact on our society through education. The pedagogy followed in our university follows facilitation of qualitative, equitable and inclusive higher education with emphasis on pioneering research. As an integral part of this vision, Birangana Sati Sadhini Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya has also planned to disseminate knowledge and encourage learning and make a tangible contribution towards social and economic growth. The university aspires to offer quality education in different disciplines to create a niche for skilful youths who will be empowered in the nation building process.
